Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park - Emerging Artists Program

The Art Colony Association Selection Committee has chosen 10 applicants for the Emerging Artists Installation at the Bayou City Art Festival. Their work will be on display in Memorial Park from March 26 through 28, 2010.

Emerging Artists is a site-specific art installation by Houston area high school students. The spring Bayou City Art Festival in Memorial Park becomes a showcase for local, developing artistic talent. During the festival, awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!

The Emerging Artist Program provides promising student artists with an exceptional opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional venue, interact with talented artists, and experience the jury process.


Awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.  First prize: $200 for the artist and $200 for the school. Second prize: $150 for the artist and $150 for the school. Third prize: $100 for the artist and $100 for the school. Winners will also receive a certificate, VIP passes, signed poster, and a t-shirt.
