How Do I Apply to Participate as an Artist?
For more than 50 years, the Bayou City Art Festival has been a bi-annual, fine art festival produced by The Art Colony Association, Inc., (501) (c).
The Bayou City Art Festival - Memorial Park, consistently ranked nationally as a top 10 fine art festivals, takes place every March inside beautiful Memorial Park, in the heart of Houston, Texas.
The Bayou City Art Festival - Downtown, currently ranked 11th in the nation, is recognized as a signature art event for the City of Houston and takes place each October inside Sam Houston Park in downtown Houston, Texas.
The Bayou City Art Festivals are outdoor, juried fine art festivals with a proven history of record sales and attendance for artists representing 19 different disciplines of art.
In order to participate, artists must first submit a Zapplication for each festival. (Application dates and deadlines will be listed on our website throughout the year).
Once the deadline for artist applications has passed for either event, all submissions for that particular event are reviewed and scored by an independent panel of jurors.
Once the jury has tabulated their scores, the 300 artists with the highest jury scores are then invited to participate in the upcoming festival
